Nothing says New York quite like a slice, and in this hands-on class you’ll make your own from start to finish. Your class takes place at NY Cake’s flagship on West 22nd Street, a short walk from the Flatiron Building. It’s a family business that started in 1991 in founder Joan Mansour’s home kitchen and is now run by her daughters, Lisa and Jenny.

Your instructor starts with a live demo of how pizza dough is made from scratch, so you’ll see exactly what goes into a proper New York crust. Then it’s your turn. Using dough that’s already been rested and proofed (the secret to a great pizza is patience!), you’ll learn to stretch and shape your base, spread the sauce and pile on your favorite toppings. Once your pizza comes out of the oven, sit down together to enjoy it. Fold your slice like a true New Yorker!

Relaxed and easy to follow, this class is a perfect fit for families, with something for everyone to do.
